British GRAMMY and Mercury Prize-winning producer, songwriter and musician James Blake returns to Melbourne this December for the first time since 2019.

The tour arrives off the back of Blake’s 2026 self-released album Trying Times – his highest charting album to date – a masterful display of his rich artistry and ability to articulate emotion with disarming transparency, tracing the uneasy space between intimacy and isolation in an age of instability.

GRAMMY-winning producer, songwriter and musician James Blake has become one of contemporary music’s most influential and innovative artists. Renowned for his singular blend of soul, electronica, hip-hop and alternative R&B, Blake has helped shape the sound of modern music through a catalogue that has generated more than 2.2 billion streams. Across 6 studio albums he has consistently pushed creative boundaries with his emotive songwriting, visionary production and unmistakable vocal style.

Blake is also one of music’s most sought-after collaborators, contributing to releases by Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, SZA, ROSALÍA, Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott, including albums such as Blonde , DAMN. , ASTROWORLD , Lemonade and Motomami . Most recently, he collaborated with UK rapper Dave on The Boy Who Played The Harp and co-created “Séance” with Ludwig Göransson for the Sinners soundtrack.

SUPPORT

Xmunashe has built a devoted cult following across Australia and the UK, selling out shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Paris and London on the strength of his electrifying live performances alone. Known for improvised, genre-splicing sets where piano, drums and instinct collide, no two Xmunashe shows are the same. His performances blur the boundaries between soul, jazz, electronic music and hip-hop.

Born to Zimbabwean parents and raised across Botswana, Australia, Switzerland and France, Xmunashe draws on a diverse musical palette spanning Zimbabwean music, hip-hop, Tame Impala, Hiatus Kaiyote and The Avalanches. His instinctive approach to performance and fearless genre experimentation have made him one of the most compelling emerging live artists to watch.
