Scientist Comedy Show

How has studying science affected my life? Was I still unemployed for a chunk of my mid-twenties? Also yes.

This stand-up show will be about a lot of things, but broadly speaking it's about being a comedian and a scientist, my corporate life and how these things have caused me to suffer in different ways. Thankfully, those ways are deeply human, so I think it will be very funny.

I am also brown. That will be the third theme of the show.

I'm reworking a bunch of material from my last show, How Now Brown Rao, and making it better before I take it on tour for next year's festival circuit. I've recently performed in Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe. I had a great time, and people really seemed to enjoy my comedy. I'm sure you will as well; if not, I will move to Scotland.

Even though this is a work in progress, it should be quite good. It's the best material from last year's show combined with new jokes I've written since then. I do get better every year, but I'm still figuring out how all the pieces fit together.

I'm very excited to see you.

Rao has performed to packed rooms across Australia and internationally for most of the last decade, earning critical praise, a Judge's Pick award at Melbourne Fringe, and a five-star review for his latest show, Space Comedy.
