Be reminded of everything you love about ballet as Anne Woolliams’ treasured production of Swan Lake returns to the Ian Potter State Theatre.

A defining jewel in The Australian Ballet’s repertoire, 2027 marks 50 years since Woolliams' premiered the landmark production. Reimagined by Artistic Director, David Hallberg in 2023 to celebrate the Company’s 60th anniversary, the tragic beauty of Woolliams’ Swan Lake is made even more brilliant with updated technical elements that bring the production into the 21st century.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s beautifully haunting score, the time-honoured masterpiece includes some of ballet’s most famous scenes between Prince Siegfried, Odette and her evil counterpart Odile. Whether you’re rediscovering the classic or experiencing it for the very first time, Swan Lake is the ultimate bucket-list ballet.
