Melbourne, prepare for one seriously strange family dinner.
The Addams Family musical makes its Melbourne premiere, bringing Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Fester, Grandma and Lurch to the stage in a wickedly funny new story. Wednesday has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, respectable young man from a completely normal family. When she invites him and his parents to dinner, she asks the Addams clan to do the impossible: behave normally for one night.
What follows is a hilarious collision of love, secrets, family chaos and gloriously dark humour. Packed with unforgettable characters, big musical numbers, laughs and plenty of surprises, The Addams Family is a wildly entertaining night at the theatre for anyone who has ever thought their own family was a little unusual. When two very different families come together, relationships are tested, secrets spill and one thing becomes very clear: normal is seriously overrated.
