The Apartments, led by Peter Milton Walsh, are returning to the Brunswick Ballroom as part of the 2027 Australian tour.
To set the scene, esteemed guests Mick Harvey and Mexican singer-filmmaker Amanda Acevedo form a collaborative musical duo known for their lush, atmospheric and genre-spanning work. The pair met in Mexico City after Harvey performed there with PJ Harvey. Mick and Amanda will be joined on stage by bassist & guitarist Glenn Lewis and drummer and keyboardist Hugo Cran.
The Apartments work now extends over 30 years and 10 albums. The Paris Review describes Peter Milton Walsh’s songbook as “…a world of smoke and gin and hazy regrets and horns and strings, like Leonard Cohen covering Sinatra’s In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning —what adult life could feel like if you were lucky, then unlucky.”
