Exposure

Acclaimed performance artists Latai Taumoepeau and Mirabelle Wouters plunge the ageing female body into a landscape of waste, labour and collapse in Exposure – an intimate in-theatre performance work that is visceral, confronting and impossible to look away from. Slicked with oil and lit by microwave buzz, the duo submerge themselves in pits of domestic detritus – steel bedframes, toxins, clanking whitegoods – emerging from the chaos as a site of raw force and resilience. Ugly-beautiful and unrelenting, Exposure interrogates our relationship to systems of power, extraction and everyday expectation.
