Test Garden Open Day – November

Using a black background, we’ll draw from life at the edge of the Test Garden, depicting the new blooms, fresh growth and other forms of life.

This event is held outdoors in the Test Garden at Fed Square. Please bring a hat and water bottle.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Drawing Indigenous flowers with Deanne Gilson

Saturday 14 November, 10am–12pm | Test Garden

Listen to Deanne’s reflections on her art practice, appreciation of the natural world and the cultural landscape.

Learn from Deanne’s deep botanical knowledge and First Peoples’ perspectives, as well as her skills in painting and drawing.

We will be experimenting with oil pastels on black foamcore to create an original drawing, ready to take home and enjoy.
